Located in Banko, Gedeb, the Gargari Gutiti Washing Station is a cherry processing facility renowned for its innovative approach to coffee processing. Working closely with Primrose — one of our trusted producer partners in Ethiopia — the station specialises in experimental processing methods that elevate flavour complexity and cup quality.
One of its standout innovations is the “Supernatural” process — a modern interpretation of the traditional natural method. By carefully extending and controlling aerobic fermentation during sun-drying, this process enhances fruit expression, sweetness, and depth in the final cup.
Situated at 1,983 MASL, Gargari Gutiti is recognised for its uncompromising quality standards. The coffee is produced by smallholder farmers growing traditional Ethiopian heirloom varieties, carefully cultivated for their distinctive floral aromas, bright fruit notes, and layered sweetness. These locally selected varieties are highly regarded for producing the vibrant and expressive flavour profiles that Ethiopian coffees are known for.
